Uncle Sam

Costume jewelry with a patriotic theme flourished in the United States during World War II. These symbols of Americana—flags, eagles, drums, trumpets—form a large part of Albright’s collection. She often wears the red, white, and blue eagle with the Uncle Sam Top Hat above it, positioned at a rakish angle.
